Eric Thienot — Sketchnoting Holiday Travels
I saw the work of Eric Thienot on Instagram snd thought it would be perfect to share before sketchnoters headed off for holidays and vacations.
This year, I didn't have enough room in my luggages to take my camera during our holidays. And most of time, we take lot of pictures and never look at them. So I decided to sketchnotes my holidays, to make great souvenirs for my kids.
I already did this once, for a trip in Japan last year, but this time it was more difficult as we moved a lot a did a lot of different activities. Who knows how to draw a family doing canyoning, paddle or viaferrata and eat a french "raclette"...
I had to be quick doing my sketchnotes as my kids never stop and were always in my room or on my knees, so I tried to have simple black lines, a grey for shadows and jus few colors to highlight moments or ideas.
In the end, it's a sketchbook between comics and sketchnotes, and I decided to share it on the social media instead of sharing pics that I don't have anyway (my smartphone is not waterproof so most of time it was safe at the apartment).
