Here's Mike's note with the details:
One of the premiere sponsors of the upcoming South by Southwest Interactive festival is interested in capturing SXSW in drawings, pictures, diagrams, and doodles this year, while also encouraging a more analog and creative way of capturing information.
To pull this off, we're looking for visual thinkers that are going to be attending SXSW Interactive and are up for a challenge!
We have a limited number of available spots left for "Livescribe Reporters" to help us roam the festival and capture information to share with the wider world. Each visual thinker that gets selected will be outfitted with special paper journals and a Livescribe Smartpen that can capture both sketching ink as well as data and audio.
The custom Livescribe journal also includes things like a map of the various locations, "buttons" you can tap on with your pen to "check in" at a location, or tell us how sore your feet are or how much sleep you've had, as well as a bunch of blank pages and instructions for how to sync your pen in the Austin Convention Center.
The best doodles (actually the animation of you drawing and audio if you decided to talk and draw or listen to a panel and draw) will be featured on 55" monitors situated in the convention center and over at the Hilton as well as promoted through various social channels.
If you earn enough points by syncing daily, capturing great ideas, checking in, and collecting fun data you'll have a chance to win a Livescribe Smartpen accessory pack that includes full size journals, and special 3-d audio recording headsets!
We just want to celebrate visual thinkers!
If you're up for it, please contact me and include your name, email and a link to samples of your doodling, diagramming, and visual thinking.
We'll be making final selections March 7th and give you all the details to sign up and get your reporters kit!
